Meet the Team

President – Don Snider

Don was born in Southern California and raised in Portage, Indiana. In college, Don majored in Construction Management and Architectural Design. This enabled him to have a “Concrete” foundation and started his career of nearly 28 years in the concrete coating industry. Don has been married to Lori Snider for 24 years; they have been blessed with two children, Landon & Kaylee. Don enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling.

Don began working in the “Sundek” decorative concrete coatings business over 28 years ago. Don’s Sundek career began as an installer for All Texas Decks in 1983. Don quickly worked his way up the ladder in this business and served in the capacity of crew leader, production manager, sales representative and sales manager. In September 1988, Don purchased the Austin “Sundek” dealership known as Sundek of Austin. In 1988, Sundek of Austin was a $250,000 dealership and in 2010 the sales over 2 million dollars. In 2006, Don began working for the corporate headquarters, Sundeck Products USA Inc. and The Coatings Group as Director of Operations. Don is the General Manager of thirteen corporate Sundek locations across the US and Director of Sundek National Accounts. Don is well known in the decorative concrete industry, a charter member of the Decorative Concrete Council.

Don is a member and has served on many boards including: American Concrete Institute, Austin Apartment Association, Austin Homebuilders Association, Concrete Polishing Association, Emerging Contractors Forum, Epoxy Floor Coatings Group, International Concrete Repair Institute, International Paver Association, National Spa and Pool Institute, Portland Cement Association and Segmental Pavement Insights, Inc. Don is considered an expert by his peers in the concrete coating industry across the United States.

General Manager – Rick Hubbard

Rick is a 4^th generation Austinite, has experienced the wonderful community we live in first hand for his entire life. Rick attended grade school through high school in the Austin School District., and developed many lifelong friendships.

SWTS in San Marcos was as far as he needed to go to attend college to further his education. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 34 years, and both Rick and Cheryl have been blessed with two fantastic children. Casey and Scott are both married and live in Austin with their spouses. A new addition to the family came in the form of our first granddaughter in May of 2007. Kaydence Hubbard is a beautiful little girl.

The outdoors has always been an important part of the family’s life and enjoyment. They all still continue to hunt, fish, and golf together.

Working at an early age was instilled into Rick by his parents and grandparents. Beginning at a young age he was a paperboy, yard mowing, and car wash attendant during and before High School.

Rick worked approximately 25 years at Fox Service Company for Charlie Hard and Curt Fox. These two individuals were instrumental in teaching and coaching him to become successful in both Sales and Management.

A new direction and opportunity came to Rick 10 years ago when he decided to join Don Snider’s Sundek Team. Working as a Sales Consultant he was recognized as the National Sales Rep twice within his first 5 years of being with the Sundek Team.

Rick’s past Sales and Management experience along with his current successes opened the doors for him to become a managing partner with Sundek of Austin. Rick oversees the day to day operations and sales of the company, practicing the values and beliefs in honesty taught to him at an early age

Josh Lemon is a new Sales Representative with Sundek of Austin.

Josh’s family moved around a lot when he was a child, but when his family moved to Austin, he knew he found home. Josh loves the rolling hills of central Texas, the gorgeous lakes, aquifers, and natural springs. He discovered that Austinite’s were unique, welcoming, and kinder than any group he’d experienced before.

He attended Cedar Park High School, where he played basketball, and acted in school plays. He then attended and graduated from College at Texas Tech University. He was privileged to see coaching greats, like Coach Bob Knight, Mike Leach, and a slew of great sports years and players. He met his wife Katie at Texas Tech, where they fell in love and adopted a puppy, they named Cheyenne.

Josh is known for being a loyal friend, a hard worker, reliable, with a deep care for others. He has strengths in customer service, with backgrounds in management. He recently left a small firm that specialized in Home Automation, where he performed many positions from design and sales, to programming and installation.

Josh, why did you want to work for Sundek, and what are you most excited about?

“There are a lot of reasons… first I would have to say; I love the product and how creative and artistic we as a company can be with it! Secondly, the rich story and history behind Sundek and it’s founders separates Sundek from all others. I mean Sundek literally created the Decorative Concrete industry. One more powerful reason being, Sundek of Austin has been around for 27 years due to the hard work of a great management and ownership team. Our concrete Artisans have been with Sundek 12-27 years… that’s unheard of in today’s world. Given the facts, I’m most excited about growing with a company that has the experience, and the drive, to continue their innovation and customer service that is second to none!”

Customer Service Center – Deidre Dann

Deidre has been an Operations Manager with Sundek for over 4 years. Her specialties include customer service and analyzing data. She started within the Sundek National Accounts division where she helped to establish the logistics and design elements for some of our largest projects. Whether it be a Marriott hotel or your back patio, we want to give you the peace of mind they will both be treated the same.
Deidre was born and raised in Alaska, but has lived in Texas for over 16 years. She enjoys photography, gardening, cooking and she is a huge sports fan. Deidre and her husband, Josh, enjoy shooting sporting clays and spend a lot of time keeping up with her four legged child, Mandy.

Design Sales Consultant – Scott Hubbard

Scott Hubbard was born and raised in Austin, TX and is a 5^th generation Austinite. Being a 5^th generation Austinite has opened many doors for him and he has many friend and family in the area which is very important to him as well. Scott grew up and attended grade school in LISD, and went on to graduate from Cedar Park High School. He then went on to further his education at Texas Tech University. While at Texas Tech he met his wife and they now reside in central Austin and have a beautiful daughter Kaydence Berlyn, who was born May 11, 2007.

Scott has been on the Sundek sales team for 5 years now and has accomplished salesman of the year nationwide 2 out of his 5 short years. He has a love for sales and meeting new people. Life experiences have really shaped the person that Scott is and he tries to help anyone he can through his journey which is why he loves meeting new people. When Scott isn’t out in the field meeting with clients his love is the game of golf. He and his family go out golfing as much as possible and it is a great passion he has. Growing up in central Texas he became an avid outdoorsman as well and loves all types of outdoor activities, from hiking on the greenbelt in Austin to hunting in the hill country that surrounds Austin.

Administrative – Lori Snider

Lori is a Native Texan, born and raised in Texas. She attended Southwest Texas State University and majored in Business and Human Resource Management. Lori has been married to Don Snider for 24 years and they have two children, a son Landon and daughter Kaylee. Lori’s professional career began in the educational environment with Hurst-Euless-Bedford School District and Southwest Educational Development Laboratory from 1985 to 1998. She began working with Sundek of Austin in 1998 when her children entered school full time. Lori’s current specialties include office administration, accounting, human resources, insurances, and payroll.

Sundek of Austin’s installation crew leaders have over 63 combined years of SUNDEK experience. All production staff receives national training and continued education each year.
